The quality of the work is excellent. We had a screened in porch with side deck and stairs installed in the back of the house and it looks fantastic. The team was also very professional during the process - they stuck to the timeline that was originally quoted, and even kept the workspace clean during the build (for example they cleaned up all tools and materials every day - especially on the weekends). I would recommend Yorklyn for any large remodel/home improvement projects

They remodeled our bathroom as well as installed an outdoor shower. The Yorklyn team was a pleasure to work with from the beginning to the end. Even with the Covid issues of obtaining products, they were able to get our bathroom done in a reasonable amount of time. The vendors they work with are all expert in the items the sell and give great advice. Ever contractor they have on their team is a pleasure to work with and is a master at what their job is. Each one takes great pride in their work and it shows. We could not be more happy with our bathroom results. The price was good, maybe a bit higher than some would like but you pay for what you get. We were happy to have them work in our home and would definitely recommend them to our friends and family and have them back to do more work in the future.

My house was built in the early 1950s and with the exception of a few appliances being changed out, nothing was done to the original knot pine cabinets and design of the kitchen. Including, the original wiring which only allowed one appliance to be used at a time. My kitchen was in dire need of an upgrade both electrically and aesthetically. I contacted Yorklyn Construction and within two days met with the company president to discuss what my thoughts were about the project. After Ben made several excellent suggestions and modifications I decided to begin the project with Yorklyn.
Several weeks later the project was completed and my 1950s kitchen is now part of this millennium. The one thing I noticed while watching the members of the Yorklyn Construction team was that they were all extremely professional, courteous, and not just a bunch of workers. Each member was an artisan and specialist in their field, who was extremely conscientious of their work and the results of the project. I would like to give a special shout-out to Braulio for his extreme attention to detail and recommendations that made the end result even better than I had hoped for.
I watched several other construction companies in my area consisting of one or two employees attempting to do an entire project on their own. This creates a jack of all trades and master of nothing environment in their work and results in substandard quality. Yorklyn, on the other hand, has several different teams each having their own area of expertise and specialization that contributes to the overall project results.
I was told at the very beginning that Yorklyn Construction is not the cheapest or the most expensive construction company in the area. However, it is my opinion that they are certainly the best in this area and would highly recommend them for any project you are considering in your own home. Typically, we are not people that post reviews. Oh, if we really don’t like something we have been known to speak up directly to the company. We have to have very strong feelings to post in a public forum. After all, saying something about a person’s lively hood should not be taken lightly.
Often people are quick to criticize and slow to praise. We would like to change that.
We have a house that was in need of updates and repairs. We also where in desperate need of storage. We invited several companies to come by and tell us what they thought and to give us a bid. Two companies that came by and told us the project was too big for them and no bid the project. Finally, it came down to two companies from the area, Yorklyn Construction being one. Yorklyn shot straight with us. They told us the truth, not what they thought we wanted to hear. The bids came in pretty close but Yorklyn impressed us with their candor and professionalism which gave us confidence that once they agreed to something they would meet their commitments.
We were told that the process would be long (several months) and that we would basically be living in a construction site. Like I stated, they shot straight with us and it was a big project. Side note, they did everything they could to minimize any discomfort and were respectful that this was our home.
We did have hiccup’s but Yorklyn’s staff and the sub-contractors where great. In a project this size there are hundreds of small decisions, but I can honestly say that everyone involved looked out for our best interests. If they thought we were making a wrong choice, they spoke up. For example, we chose the color of grout for the shower in a showroom. The tile guy put in the tile but thought we made a mistake with the color of the grout. He didn’t just go and let us make a mistake. Instead he spoke up and brought it to our attention. He and the project manager discussed it with us and made suggestions that we elected to follow and are happier for that decision. We had a similar experience with their painter. Trust me things look different in a sample catalog or a showroom than in your house. I also wanted to say that their carpenters are great and their cabinet guy is amazing, very skilled and exact, a true craftsman. Our cabinets are just wonderful.
We can also tell you that on the rare occasion that we did express displeasure, they made it right and when a problem was our fault, they were fair.
Several of the Yorklyn staff and sub-contractors feel like friends. We have very warm feelings for these people. We have grown to trust them. Not only would we recommend them, we will call upon them in the future when we need skilled professional trades people.

Thank you for the wonderful job you and your crew did on the repair of our flat roof, the spouting and most of all our beautiful bay window. Nick was suck a craftsman and our French Bulldog, Molly really missed him once the job was completed. All your men were friendly, courteous and proficient at their job.
We had a few other contractors bid on the job to repair our hail damaged siding and roof. Yorklyn the only one that had the experience of knowing the siding that would match. You even offered to install additional insulation under the siding which is something no one else offered to do. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently your crew did the job. My neighbors used a different contractor and their roof repairs took much longer. The new shingles made our house look so much more attractive.
